I have been walking along the north-east Norfolk coast observing how the land is being eroded and transported through processes such as longshore drift. I want to mirror this erosion by drawing lines that follow the repetitive gestures of different coastal processes.

I have been following an approach of sourcing and shaping my own drawing tools from the natural environment, which along this coastal stretch means chalk. I will be documenting the way in which the chalk is transmitted from its original form and location onto my working surface – the chalkboard.
